A community hospital in rural West Bengal catering to leprosy affected patients and other socially deprived people.

Purulia Leprosy Home was established in the year 1888 as an asylum to shelter and care for the patients affected by leprosy. In course of time with the development in the medical field and invention of new drug Dapsone (DDS) which was introduced at the same time in Purulia leprosy home helped many patients to improve from their suffering ailments.
